HRTC Sunday Clinic- Long Range / Wind

This HRTC clinic is dedicated to long-range shooting and making better wind calls. As with any of our clinics, shooters will begin by confirming ballistic data and checking zero at the 100-yard range before moving into a fundamentals of marksmanship refresher. From there, participants will head to HRTC Range 1A, engaging targets from 400 to 1,000 yards. If you've been to the HRTC Range Complex, you know that Range 1A can produce wind! HRTC instructors will be on hand to provide coaching, spot hits and misses, and guide shooters through necessary corrections. At Range 1A, in-depth ballistics and wind classes will cover key topics such as reading wind as it moves through terrain, estimating wind speed, bullet flight characteristics in wind, adjusting holds for wind, and making effective follow-up shots. For those looking to push their limits, an optional session at the HRTC ELR Range offers the opportunity to engage targets at distances up to 1,900 yards.
